Day 29 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days...

Today, I pulled out some Gessobord.  I think I forgot how much I like to paint on these surfaces.  The ability to move color around, and to scratch and make marks on this surface is simply divine!
I feel as though today I painted a city in chaos...
See you tomorrow for Day 30.
Until next time,

Opening this this morning was a delight. This sings out for happy times! No chaos here.

Ophelia, thanks for the reminder about gessobord. Haven't used it all month myself but I know just what you mean about the ability to move paint around and scratch and make marks. I love the straightforward, let's-not-get-finicky-and-fussy, uninhibited feel to your art, and the bright colorful promise of play in today's painting, chores and responsibilities (i.e. the black scribbles) be damned!

Hi Ophelia, just wanted to stop by and tell you I am going to spend some more time on your site. I enjoyed meeting you this month and really look forward to seeing more of your work and getting to know you better. I love this piece and the pop of color. it is just so fresh and sunny it made me smile right away when I came onto the landing page. Thank you so much for your comments over the month. That is the best thing about the challenge, I think, is finding new friends, talent and directions.
