Even though its influenced by the dreariness outside I love the neutral color palette you've used for your painting. The white shapes make me smile as if snow is coming.
Ophelia, you've captured a certain kind of January day. The black of tree trunks and branches, the gray of sky, the washed out sunlight, the possibility of snow. I'm drawn to the unfussy feel of your scribbles, layers, and drips/splatters.
I find it hard to make a small abstract so I think you made a great design w/ feeling, just like Dottie Seiter said. Hope to try some more small ones. Sue
