30 Paintings in 30 Days-Day 6

Happy Friday everyone,
With snow expected in our area...our school closed early today.  I could not wait to get home so I could paint!!
Another 4x6 in Acrylic...its quite dreary outside today, and it seems to have found its way in the studio.
I will see you right back here tomorrow for Day 7, and I am honestly hoping to be  "snowed in"!!!!
Until next time,

Even though its influenced by the dreariness outside I love the neutral color palette you've used for your painting. The white shapes make me smile as if snow is coming.

Fantastic painting! It looks a bit like a snowy landscape. I love the starkness of this. Great work.

Ophelia, you've captured a certain kind of January day. The black of tree trunks and branches, the gray of sky, the washed out sunlight, the possibility of snow. I'm drawn to the unfussy feel of your scribbles, layers, and drips/splatters.

I find it hard to make a small abstract so I think you made a great design w/ feeling, just like Dottie Seiter said. Hope to try some more small ones.
