Today, I pulled out some Gessobord. I think I forgot how much I like to paint on these surfaces. The ability to move color around, and to scratch and make marks on this surface is simply divine!
I feel as though today I painted a city in chaos...

Ophelia, thanks for the reminder about gessobord. Haven't used it all month myself but I know just what you mean about the ability to move paint around and scratch and make marks. I love the straightforward, let's-not-get-finicky-and-fussy, uninhibited feel to your art, and the bright colorful promise of play in today's painting, chores and responsibilities (i.e. the black scribbles) be damned!

I enjoyed meeting you this month and really look forward to seeing more of your work and getting to know you better. I love this piece and the pop of color. it is just so fresh and sunny it made me smile right away when I came onto the landing page. Thank you so much for your comments over the month. That is the best thing about the challenge, I think, is finding new friends, talent and directions.
