Searching.....
Lately, it seems that I have not been myself....just feeling BLAH...and not sure why. I'm not content at all with anything...just kind of going through the motions. My muse is so elusive lately...as though she knows something is going on as well. I head up to the studio daily, but nothing comes...I feel as though I'm searching for something, but I'm not sure of what...just kind of wandering through life these days and not feeling whole. I started this page, but not sure of what I want to do to finish it, so for now, she stays as she is...

Ophelia, I know exactly what you mean--I don't like that at all. Just hang in there, and she'll be back. I'm kind of feeling that way too right now.
Hey Ophelia, Have been there, and it is a weird place to be, but all is not lost, she'll return. I got mine back by visiting a LOT of blogs and seeing what others were doing for inspiration. Hope this helps.
i'm sorry you have that lost/searching feeling. but that's a beautiful piece. i had to zoom in to see all the layers. it's lovely but also very lonely.
oh, big hugs! i SO KNOW what you are feeling ... ugh. it is so hard remember we naturally move from filling up to emptying out ... natural cycles in life, art, our bodies, our minds, our breath ...
be gentle with yourself and know this is a natural phase. a time for things to germinate under the surface, a little tension building perhaps ... i always find it helpful to engage in silly distractions, play and forget about making anything for awhile. always something emerges when i am busy being distracted by play.
thank you for all the support you give me ... i look at your work and am so envious of your work, your voice, your vision. she's still there, your muse, just catching a little siesta. i too love the piece you posted today.
you know, i read a great comment - if you don't know what you want to create, then how about exploring what it is you do NOT want to paint/draw/create?
this too shall pass ... the only thing permanent is that everything will change.
I think someone needs to join an art journal round robin...just sayin' ;-)

Oh I hope u feel better soon! It seems it's something that every artist goes through! When I feel out of funk, I try something new, or take break. I know you'll get back in the swing soon x
