Life is Good...

I am here...in Ocean City, Maryland, and I have to say, life is so good.

A whole lot of sun...and carching as many sunrises as I can...

You know how sometimes you allow fear to stop you from doing something...and you just decide to do it anyway, well, today has been one of those kind of days...

I went paddle surfing and even drove a jet ski!!!  Wow...what a thrill!!!  I will post more pictures soo !!

And, it just keeps getting better.

A Quick Snippet...

Hi everyone,

I hope that your weekend has been nice...

I have had some great demos at Jerrys. and on a recent one,I brought along my favorite studio helper...my daughter Madison...

She is ready to get dirty with some paints, and thats exactly what we did!!

Then, today, I was back...with Soho Acrylics...  They are really starting to grow on me..

This quickly became a community effort, and everyone enjoyed playing and experimenting with them!

Now, i am packing my bags for a bit of a change of scenery...

If you remember my Vegas trip where I demoed for Weber...welp, I am off to Pennslybania to spend some time with Patti!!!  And...I have just been advised by her that I am hired again for next year!!!

So...I am hoping a change of scenery will help me find my mojo...because around here, it is lost!!  

Oh...and before I go...23 more collage packs to go to meet our goal...23!!!  Who is in?????

I will hopefully post pictures while away...I get so caught up in theings that my camera is often forgotten!

An Artsy Play Kind of Day!!

We live pretty close to each other, but we usually don't get to play to often...but when we do...its a painting and playing party kind of day!!!

This is Patti...my sweet always inspiring friend!!

Today, we inked, sprayed, painted, and laughed a whole lot!  Good old fashioned much needed laughter!!

Her studio is amazing...just being in the space is uplifting and inspiring!!

We had the kind of no pressure just try out all kind of stuff play, and thats what I like to do.

Our time always passes way too quickly, but its always so worth it!!

A Giant Thank You!!

To everyone who has ordered a collage pack so far!!  Your support really means a lot!!!

Today is my first official day of summer break!!!!  And, well, its been a bit interesting!!!

You know how you start doing something and immediately realize that it was a BAD IDEA!!!

So...I decided today would be a great day to reorganize my studio...what in rhe world was I thinking!!!

I just knew the way that I had it was not working...

Yes...I was too far in to turn around!!!  So I kept going with it!!

And well...there is still lots and lots to do...

But its getting much better!!!

I will keep posting on my progress as this will take a while!

Lets also just say that I will sleep very well tonight!!!

Again...thank you all for your support so far!  I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to add the collage packs and such to the side bar of my blog so I could get back to artmaking...  I have a lot of blog work to learn!!

A Magicical Weekend...

Happy Monday morning everyone.

I hope that your dat is off to a great start!!  Its a totally different ball game around here as I didn't have to spend time this weekend grading papers or planning lessons....I am thankful for that because, this weekend was completely full of pure magic!!!!

I have a true bookworm, so there is nothing finer than heading to the library for some books...usually a whole lot of books!!!

Then, the packing began.... First stop, an Art Journaling Retreat at Theresa Brown's Studio...

Talk about having a pure BLAST!!!  

And...we totally got paint all over the place...  These gals got in the zone, and we even dropped our brushes and let our hands do the talking in our journals...

We are planning our next retreat on July 27th!!!

I packed quickly, and headed to my daughters softball pool party!!!  What a great time they have had this season, and the perfect way to end  their season...a pool on a sunny day, and trophies!!!  The girls loved it!!

A mad rush home to unpack and pack again because on Sunday, I taught a workahop at Jerrys...

These ladies really inspired me...

What was even better was that it was a room filled with teachers... Oh, the laughs we shared!!!

No weekend is complete without some baseball around here, so you may already know my next stop!!!

The Titans won!!!!

Just Like That...

This school year is OVER!!  thank goodness!

Hope your Friday is going well...  I still have workdays to go...report cards, folders, grades, meetings, and a big clean up...but the kiddos are out of here!!

Bye, Bye Little Children!!!

So...a great way to celebrate the final day is to of course head off to Jerrys for some play time!!

Art is such a great release.  No worries, no stress, everything else just goes away when I am creating, and I truly enjoy being able to lose myself....and that is exactly what I did.

Four More Days!!

...until sweet summer break...I can do this!!!

Happy Monday morning.  Yes, I am counting down the days!!!  I can't believe that its June!  This school year has flown by now that I look back at it... But so long...I am ready for it to be over!

Today being June 3rd calls for a sweet celebration as my little gal turns 8!!  

Talk about time flying by...  

I'm not even sure of where those years went...she just grew up, right under my nose!!!

So...this weekend was filled with all things art at Jerrys...but please let me share one more kid photo...Please!!

As in the classic time flies by...here is my son...13 now and going to his 8th grade formal.

Here he is with his Best Bud Tyler...and yeah, we made them "hug it out"!!  

I can not believe these guys head to highschool!!!

Ok...on to some art...I demoed at Jerrys on Saturday and Sunday...some mixed media madness was going on...

Alcohol inks, sprays, and paints...all kinds of goodness...
