For quite a while, I have been in Love with Donna Downey, so.....nothing says love like a road trip!!!
Yup, I hit the road and cisited her studio in Huntersville....and it was worth every minute of the drive...
So much art and mixed media goodness under one roof!!! And, she simply ROCKS. I am completely Inspired by her....

Hi Ophelia,
It is great to SEE YOU! Nice photo! :)
Wow, I agree with Kathy, that studio looks like a shop! Is it a shop too?
I would love to go there.

Hey you! Am sooo looking forward to classes on Saturday. See you soon.
How very fun!!
The first 2 weekends in October are our 'round the County 'Art Harvest Studio Tour,' & I went to a couple last weekend - so fun! One's a cousin's new space, a cute little 'cottage' with her prints & tiles all around! She does coloured pencil & graphite drawings, & transfers some images to tiles.
The other is a bookbinder, & lives upstairs in a space that takes up the whole floor - skylights, Wm Morris Art Deco style furniture, etc, and they're Redoing the BALLROOM! (The old Elks Lodge - behind the main apartment!) I tell folks to consider going there, even if they don't go anywhere else on the tour!
Hope to get some chores done, so I can go out n about this weekend as well!
