Happy Sunday everyone,
Gosh, first, re-entry is very hard!!! Being back to school has completely zapped me! Notice when I check out...way back in August, I have been busy setting up my classroom, getting lessons prepared, etc... I somehow completely forgot how crazy back to school time is for me -- not to mention getting my own kids ready. And, I have a confession to make...It has been WEEKS since I was able to even get upstairs to my studio and play...no wonder I have been such a grump!!
Anywho, this weekend, my husband took the kids out of town to his family picnic, and gave me a time out! Straight to the studio I went (as soon as they pulled out of the driveway)!!
I have been just messing around...getting re-aquainted with my toys, and just generally enjoying some good old fashioned quiet time. No tv's, MOM's, no sounds...its plain beautiful!!!
So, I'm going to head back up stairs....before I hear car doors slam.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Until next time,
Ophelia

I have been thinking about you!! So nice to hear from you. I feel the same way you do. I am nervous and excited and a it overwhelmed even thinking about next week when children actually show up for real. The last two weeks I have been recuperating from the wedding, getting myself together, and working to set up my classroom and do lesson planning for an inclusion room. I actually DID clean my PaperPumpkin workspace...about 25 percent...but I think I have slobber it up about ten percent more this week! I am hopeless perhaps, Ophelia. But the best part is that I rewarded myself anyway and filled up a cart at Bluemoon...and that was all your fault!!! Hahaha aha! Peace and love to you, my dear teacher friend! Best of everything this new school year to you. Kath
Super page for September, love the colours and the girl. :)
glad you were able to get some time to yourself and into the studio. Lucky you.
Oh, I so know what you mean about the return to school (this was my first week back). Teaching is all consuming isn't it? Glad you managed to find a bit of art time, and your calendar pages look fab :-) Good luck with your new school year x
Wonderful grungy effects :-)
wow I love the collaged little girl and the different coloured letters...great calendar page!
love this calendar!!! and so glad you were able to have some time to play and just rejuvenate!! was good seeing you at jerry's last sunday.
I am thankful for the cooler weather, but not for the way time has flown by! It seems once October hits, it a quick slide into the may holidays and all the stuff that comes with them. Plus all three of my kids have birthdays beginning on Thanksgiving Day this year till close to Christmas.
Good to hear from you Ophelia!!
xxoo
