My thoughts on being a dreamer....

I will gladly admit that I am a dreamer.....have been for as long as I can remember, and will probably always will be. My problem is that I dream up all of these "great" ideas...set goals based on these ideas...and, leave it at that. I have realized for quite some time now that great ideas, dreams, and goals require action. That is something that I truly stink at. I have the best intentions of getting around to it, but somehow, never seem to have enough steam to get it done. PLEASE tell me that I am not the only person out there that is like this. I have often thought of getting in touch with a Creativity Coach, but then well, that gets filed away, along with the other ideas that float around. I honestly think that this is the source of so much of my frustrations. I never act on what it is that I really want to do. Welp, I will keep chugging along at it, definitely start writing things down a bit more (and not lose the notebooks that they are written in) I am such a work in progress!!! Until next time, Ophelia

Your post is coming over loud and clear and ringing bells with me too. You are definately not alone. Maybe if you looked at things in a different way. All these ideas you have are still there to be cherry picked when you do get down to work in the studio, they are a wonderful resource for you in the studio of your mind. Hope that helps, from one dreamer to another, love Sharon

Oh Ophelia, I so know what you mean. I seem to have a finger in every pie and never get to eat a piece. For me scrawled notes kept in books and the occasional list too but I think we have to just go wherever our hearts take us. Now, I'm trying to do a little of everything and hope one day to get something done. Penny

Well, if one of your goals is to inspire others, you're doing that now!--but I know, a lot of us are like this--always planning, but never doing--just keep creating and things will happen!

I hear you...sometimes we can focus on too many at one time. Pick one, then write down some actions steps to work toward it and then do one or more a week as you have time.

Sometimes it's the first step that is the hardest...but don't ever stop dreaming!!

Dearest Ophelia, your life right now is so full and hectic, and it amazes me how much you get accomplished now! As you get older, things will change and eventually you can find a little extra time most days. Take good care of yourself and don't wear out too soon! You are an incredible woman - live the joy of life right now; life is the journey, not the destination! Love, Susan

Oh my dear Ophelia, we are all works in progress, and you often serve as an inspiration for me ... so please don't be so hard on yourself. I look at what you've done since the last time we saw each other, and am so impressed!

Hi Ophelia. And I'm the friend that also met you this weekend at Jerry's Art-o-rama. It was great to meet you! :) It's so fun talking to people who are so excited about what they do.

We used both the acrylic inks and inktense pencil as soon as we got home. LOVED them!

Ah Ophelia, I know exactly what you are talking about here. Recently I went to a teacher training day where we had an 'inspirational' speaker. He said that a vision without a goal was just a dream, sounds familiar huh?! We all need goals but it's easier said than done. Love your journal page :-)
