Hello Blog Friends,
I have to say that I have kept my promise to make art everyday, but I just have not been very good at getting it to my blog.
I signed on today and was disheartened to see my last entry date....and for that, I am truly ashamed.
I started a new homebased business, and although it has been going very well, it has been my focus as I get it going, so there has been little blogging time left. Life, as I am sure for everyone, gets extremely busy, and I found that I am in need of balance because for a while there, I was feeling so overwhelmed which is why I create this page.
I have some new workshops coming up that I will tell you about as the time gets closer, so I have been working on some things for my classes. The first is in June at Gallery Shibui in Raleigh at Cameron Village. I am also super psyched that I was asked to teach a class at Jerry's Artarama!!! and I will be doing a FREE demo there on June 7th from 1-4 called Painterly Papers and Backgrounds Galore...so, if you're in the area, I would love for you to stop by.
Otherwise, I am preparing to wind down the school year and looking forward to a summer spent in my studio creating...at least that is the intention.
Soon,
Ophelia

Glad to see you 'back'! Congrats on the new workshops - hope to make the demo at Jerry's!

Ophelia, I love your piece, "Looking for Stillness". Is it a stand-alone collage, or is a part of your journal? Beautiful colors that reflect the rather melancholy-yet-hopeful tone of your text.
We are both going to have to pay more attention to our art and to our blogs!
hugs,
Linda in Houston
Welcome back, Ophelia! We all know SO well how it is when things, both good and not-so-good pile up...take a breath, and another, and you'll make it through! Kudos on your good intentions for the summer; we're all looking forward to seeing the creations which will result!
love the page... know what you mean about having trouble finding time! I'll stop back by soon...
Wow, Ophelia, I love the page. My friend will be here from Finland and hopefully we make it back from the retreat in Shepherdsville, WV and we are able to come to the Jerry's demo.
Congrats on all your accomplishments!!!
I know exactly what you mean, it's hard to keep up with blogging as regularly as one would like. Particularly art blogs as they require a bit more time due to loading pictures. But worth it! Thanks for blogging :-)
