Is There Such a Thing?????????

As like a Humane Society....or Protective Services for Neglected Blogs....if so, I'd be reported.

I am returning from some serious computer health issues, but my blog neglect happened long before. When I signed on this morning....I couldn't believe that it has been since March 4th since I last posted....

To be honest, there hasn't been much art to report either....just too busy with...I don't even know. I went into my studio the other morning, and realized that it has been a WHILE since I had even set foot in there....man oh man...Spring Break is coming though, so that should give me a bit more time to get back to some much needed art therapy.

I recently did an Art-A-Thon for Jerry's Artarama to benefit Haiti, and oh gosh, was that a great experience. I realized that I wish I could spend the rest of my days doing just that type of thing.

Basically we all showed up, set up our mini studios, and painted....Good Golly Miss Molly!!! Talk about the energy in this place. After you finished your piece, you donated it to be raffled off. Just to be in the room with some amazing artists was just incredible. I honestly felt like a princess!! The beautiful part was I got to play with art all day!!!!!!!!

I will post pictures of the day as soon as I unload them from my camera...see, I'm behind on everything these days...

Time definitely is not on my side this morning, so I must head out...

Where The Heck Have Ya Been????

Just returning home from a fabulous trip with Silpada in Chicago!! Oh, what a wonderful time I had. The trip was absolutely amazing, and I got a tiny taste of what my idea of freedom is....absolutely positively free to be ME!!

Too bad I'm not a better photographer!!

I came home with freedom on my mind....and what it means to me....I loved being unrestricted by time and other restraints....so I created this page.

Thought while I was at it, I would put out there the things I want....you just never know.

Also.....I still have collage packs and painted paper packs available. You all have been so awesome!!!

It's Been One Of Those Days...

Have you ever had one of those days where things just get too crazy.... you know, you're late for work, can't find matching socks, forget your lunch, need to get gas in your car because the light was on when you pulled into the drive on yesterday, dishes are everywhere...walk in the door, tired as all get out, the kids are fighting, the house is TRASHED (nothing unusual there), the dishes still there, the laundry needs to be done so you can actually find your socks tomorrow, the phone has rung a zillion times....you know, just one of those days that makes you feel so overwhelmed that you just want to crawl under your bed. I don't know if its because I am preparing to go out of town and all the prep work that goes into leaving or what...but today I have just felt so overwhelmed that I feel like something has got to give!

I wish it were not so late and I could relax with a nice cup of coffee...thats as strong as I can take it!

I think I'll head to bed now with a a hopeful heart that tomorrow will not be a repeat!

Another One Bites the Dust...

The collage packs, painted paper packs, and beads are going postal, and I still have tons of them left!!!
I have yet to figure out how to make a slide show...and well, after spending the entire weekend in bed with something wicked...I didn't get to try anymore...so, I've put some other things up for the a good cause.
The need of this family is still so great....so, I'm doing it again...

Today is the Day....

I woke up this morning, realizing how lucky I am to have a fresh start. I get up extra early so that I have time to go to my studio and create...something...before the rest of the world gets up. By the time my family is up, I am refreshed, and ready to begin my day. I made this page, quite simply, but to me its powerful...letting me know that today is a new beginning, and I can make amazing things happen...today.

So, lets begin.

Getting Back to Art!!

I am truly grateful at the amazing response to my call for help. I can't thank you all enough for how you pulled together to help me help others and for that, I am truly grateful.
I still have a ton more stuff that I will be parting with, but at the risk of turning my blog into a Flea Market, I will try to make a slideshow later of stuff that I will be letting go of...for now though...lets get back to some art!!
I woke up this morning with just a true attitude of gratitude. I guess we never realize how blessed we are until we meet someone who has nothing, and that lets me know how much I truly take everything for granted. I realized recently just how fortunate I am for even the little things I have - sight, heat, my car, home....I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Today though, I am grateful, and I just wanted you to know.
