This Poor Blog...

You know how you get to the point of where you decide that you are going to do something well, or not do it at all.  Where that is where I am with blogging...sigh....
I'm not sure of what is going on with me as to why I just can't make it over here more often.  I have great intentions, believe me, I do, but time just slips away from me.

I have been in my studio....daily...

 

Oh...its trashed all right.  It seems every surface is covered...and, its time to take a time out and clean things up a bit.

 

Even my easel seems crowded with....things...

 

Does anyone seriously need 5 spray bottles???  Sheesh!!

Yes...things need to be put away....

 

How can a person work this way, you ask????  I know!!

Spring Break is coming...and with a bit of a getaway, and some studio time, I will have this place ship shape in no time!

I just can't tell you enough how much I love having this monthly meetup.  And, honestly, I don't know how I was so lucky to get that job!!

 

So.....back to the whole doing things and doing them well, or letting them go....well, I am going to give this a good ole' fashioned try...I'll be back..soon.

Vegas Blast!!!

So... I was pumped, psyched, and a nervous wreck!!!!
I spent a week as the new Weber Acrylic demo artist at the Creative Painting Retreat in Vegas. All I can say is...what a blast!
I met the most amazing people, and learned so much...so, so much...it was the greatest!!!
I painted like crazy, and even filmed a dvd...lots and lots of laughs....and just had a blast!!!

Set up was fun.... but man, oh man, was it a lot of stuff...true candy store!!

They all painted, and played, and just let themselves be free....that was the favorite part for me...

What a true treat for me to do this....it was great, but this gal is oh so tired and truly happy to be home.

A Great Day!!!

I taught an Art Journaling Retreat on yesterday at Theresa Brown's studio...and man, oh man was it fun!!! 13...yes, 13 students...all I can say is WOW!!! Lots of paints. Inks, sprays, and laughs!!! It was amazing, but this gal was oh so tired after everyone left!!!

Theresa worked hard to get the studio all fancied up...it was great, and plenty of space for our bunch!!

They started arriving....and, I started to sweat!!!  Seriously, I did....its something about the "Start" of it all that always gets me....

Not even sure of what is wrong with this picture....see...told ya, I'm having technology issues...

All in all a great day was had by all....I came home, and crashed!!!  CRASHED!!  When I walked in the door, I couldn't even form a sentence....again, all I can say was WOW!!!

 

Now... the fun begins all over again....I looked at the calendar this morning and realized its VEGAS in 2 weeks...let the painting begin!!

Crazy Goodness...

Good Morning!!! A beautiful Thursday morning here so far...well...Its early yet...but coffee in hand and a bit of extra time to myself before the crazy morning pre-school fun begins around here. I am forced to blog from my phone as I am still having technology issues but all is well though...
Lots of prep work around here as I am getting ready to teach at Theresa's studio this weekend for a Journaling Retreat...
AND...I will be heading to VEGAS at the end of the month for the Creative Painters Retreat!!! I will be demoing and doing a Make & Take for Weber with their line of acrylics!!! I am super wxcited...but so overwhelmed!!!
Lots and lots to do to get ready...LOTS!!!

120 canvas boards that needed to be collaged and gessoed to say drying time at the Make & Take...sounded like a cool idea...right...OMG...when those boxes appeared at my door, I thought my chest was going to explode!!  Proof that I glued for weeks on end...guess I will need to add a new one to my shopping list!!

I recently did an employee journaling night at Jerry's!  Honestly...my favorite place to hang out...we had such a great time...and it was GREAT to get to know them all!! 

Lots and lots of toys to play with....LOTS!!

Just wanted to say a quick hello and I am truly wishing you all are having a great day... I know that for myself...Mondays can be rough!!
I spent this weekend playing...yeah...ditching my chores, in my studio kind of play.
It was such a great getaway, and I didn't even have to leave home...my fave!
So, I have been itching all day while at work to get back to my studio...with coffe in hand... I am off!!

Some catching up...

Ok...so, Ophelia pulled her vanishing act again....sheesh. 
I just can't keep up it seems.I truly hope that your holidays were fantastic and all that you hoped they would be. It was great around here, but the time just went by too quickly, and tomorrow, sigh, we return to school.

Today I spent time in my studio, getting ready for a challenge that I started for the year.  Unfortunately, my technology is not playing nicely, and I couldn't scan these pages, so the trusty phone camera came to the rescue...and again I say, sheesh!
So, this is the calendar challenge by Kate...over at the Kathryn Wheel.  There is just something about this challenge that gets my creativity going...and well, lets hope I can keep up this year!!!





 

Time spent in my journal today.  This journal is so fat!!!  I started it at some point last year, and thankfully there are only two more pages in it.  I barely closes!!, but you know what...I love a big, fat, full journal!!

 

See....I just love it!!!

 

 

And, I thought....long and hard, I thought about my word for 2013...

I've come up with BELIEF.
